Instagram User Followers

Get a user’s followers by username or profile URL. Returns username, full name, user ID, verification status, and profile picture for each account. Supports pagination and an optional keyword search. Verified accounts return only their first 50 followers.

Parameters

Parameter	Required	Description
`username`	One required	Instagram username, with or without leading `@` (max 100 characters). Provide either `username` or `url`.
`url`	One required	Instagram profile URL, e.g. `https://instagram.com/natgeo` (max 500 characters). Provide either `username` or `url`.
`pages`	No	Number of pages to fetch, 1-40 (default: 1). Each page returns up to 50 accounts. Verified (blue checkmark) accounts return the first page only.
`query`	No	Search the followers list by username or name (max 100 characters). Returns up to 50 matches in a single request; `pages` is ignored.

Notes

Each page returns up to 50 accounts; you are billed per page returned. If the list runs out before the pages you asked for, you only pay for the pages that came back. Up to 2,000 accounts (40 pages) per call.
Verified (blue checkmark) accounts return only their first ~50 followers: Instagram no longer exposes the rest of a verified account’s followers list, and extra pages are not billed. Unverified accounts paginate normally.
With query, the endpoint returns up to 50 matching accounts in one request and bills one page.
A private account returns 403 with code private_account, and an account whose followers and following lists Instagram hides returns 403 with code limited_account. A username that does not exist returns 404 with code not_found. Each is billed as one request, whatever pages you asked for.
